What Keeps Me Entertained? | Top 5 Apps

Hello lovelies! I thought I'd share my top 5 apps with you guys. I recently shared what's on my iPod, and today I thought I'd show you guys the apps I'd recommend over any other apps. It was actually quite hard to narrow this list down to just these 5!

These are the 5 apps that I use more than any of the other apps on my iPod (and my phone!), for various reasons. I feel like there's quite a healthy mix of apps here, so there'll be something to suit everyone!

Firstly we've got SAS4, which is possibly my most played game of the past few months. I absolutely adore this game, it's my first go-to when I'm bored or just need to zone out for a few minutes. It's so addicting, I just had to add a few pictures of the game play to show you what it's like. The basic premise of the game is there's been a zombie apocalypse, and you're fighting said zombies. You can play solo and online games, and can also join online games with either random players (they say similarly matched players - they aren't!) or you can play with real life friends. It's just such a fantastic little game, I'd thoroughly recommend it!

Second, we've got Candy Crush Soda Saga. I think at this stage most of us have played Candy Crush at some point or another. The original Candy Crush absolutely took over my life, but then I deleted my Facebook and no one could send me lives and I kinda just gave up. But, recently I downloaded Soda Saga and I've been hooked ever since. You can ask for lives/help from people even though you aren't linked to Facebook on this (I'm not sure if this is available on the normal Candy Crush now?), which is such a bonus for me! I'm stuck on my current level and have been for the best part of a week now and I'm so frustrated with it, but I also can't stop playing!

Next, we've got good ol' BBC News. I am such a news addict, I check the news at least every half an hour, situation permitting, so this is such a handy little app to have. It send me notifications whenever a new story breaks so I never miss out, and it's great for staying updated throughout the day. Potentially not the most exciting app, but one I use constantly all the same.

Now, onto an app I'm sure we all use; Twitter! I'm an absolute Twitter addict, I tend to go through phases with my actual tweets, but I'm constantly scrolling through other people's tweets and seeing what's trending. I feel like you get news a lot quicker via social media than you do through the typical outlets, and although it is, of course, always a good idea to fact check, it's always good to stay up to date. That, and I'm quite nosey and love reading about other people's lives. I also find that Twitter is such a good way to keep up to date with other bloggers, finding new blog posts and just staying in contact in general.

Last, but most certainly not least, Bloglovin'. I love reading your guys' posts, and I love being able to keep up to date while I'm on the go. Although I find it hard to comment on posts via the app, it's great to read while I'm doing other things, and I'll normally save it or just simply unmark it as read and go back and comment when I'm on my laptop. I can't get enough of this app, it's an absolute must for anyone who loves reading blogs (all of us, surely!).

Charlotte Turnbull - You Are | Music

Hello Lovelies! I've mentioned repeatedly once or twice that I love my music posts on this blog, and this is a post I'm very, very excited to be sharing with you guys. I'm constantly searching youtube for new artists, and when I stumbled across the absolutely amazing Charlotte Turnbull recently, I knew I'd stumbled onto an absolute diamond.

Although I was originally looking through her covers, I quickly found her originals. I'm a big fan of originals on youtube, so I immediately hit play and I wasn't disappointed. Although I love all her her music, my favourite by far is this one; You Are. Charlotte's vocals are always on point, but I feel like this song was the one I connected with the most for some reason. I can't say enough things about this song, it's got such a laid back beat. I can't get enough of this song, but most importantly Charlotte as an artist.

Weekly Music Favourites | What's Been On Repeat?

Hello Lovelies! Of all the weekly music favourites I've posted (yes, all three of them!) this is the one I'm most excited to share with you. I've been listening to some really, really good music this week, and I'm sure you'll love it!
Built It Better - Aron Wright. I found this song via one of my favourite shows in the world, Grey's Anatomy. It was in the most recent episode, and I instantly fell in love. It's got that lovely, chilled-out sound I've been loving recently, and the lyrics are just so beautiful. One to stick on, on a Sunday afternoon whilst reading (handy this is posted today then, eh?).

No Place Like Home - Jakwob feat. Rationale. Now, if you follow me on twitter, you may or may not have noticed me tweet the lyrics to this song far too many a few times. I even changed my bio on twitter, which has been lyrics to a You Me At Six song since I first joined twitter six years ago, to these lyrics. If I had to pick one song to sum up this week, this would be it. I've had it almost constantly one repeat. It's out of hand now, actually.

Maybe You're Right - Miley Cyrus. If I'm being perfectly honest, this entire album has been a favourite this week, but if I had to choose this would be my favourite song (also Drive, and Someone Else). I honestly think Bangerz is one of the most underrated albums, but that's a soap box I won't jump on right now! I'm sure everyone's heard about the album now, it's almost 2 years old, but I seriously recommend it all the same.

Nivea Express Hydration Primer | First Impressions

Hello lovelies! Today I've got another first impressions post, featuring Nivea's Express Hydration Primer, which I featured in my recent Superdrug Haul.

Getting straight into it, I'm kinda torn with this primer. It's got some good qualities, but it's got some fairly bad points too, so I'm not really wowed by it. I want to love it, but I just don't. Yet.

Firstly, this primer claims to be instantly absorbed. Wrong. I find I need a tiny, tiny amount of this otherwise you get those little greasy balls of the product you typically get with body butters. You know the ones? Even with the tiny amount I need, it's still got the tendency to cling around and ball up when the foundation has been applied if I don't give it long enough to set. Which is fine if I've got time, but if I'm getting ready in a rush I simply haven't got 10 minutes to sit around doing nothing.

Next, the main attraction for me; the fact it's hydrating and particularly aimed at dry and sensitive skin. Apparently this can be used as a moisturiser and a primer, which is the way I've been trying it. On my normal patches of skin, this has been working great at keeping the dryness as bay, and I have to admit I haven't missed my usual moisturiser at all. However, I get very bad dry patches around the sides of my nose and my cheeks, and I've noticed that it stings a lot when I apply it to those areas, which isn't exactly the best for a product specifically aimed at dry and sensitive skin!

However, it's not all doom and gloom! I've noticed I do get extra wear time out of my foundations with this, although it obviously varies depending on the foundation I'm wearing that day, I do typically get an extra couple of hours out of my foundations, which is only ever a good thing! Especially for a primer.

Long story short: Although I've been having issues with this, I'm willing to keep giving it is ago. I can certainly see it's potential. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's got very dry skin, especially if it's flaky like mine can be, or anyone who tends to get ready in a rush in a morning due to the issue with it's absorbency.
I will post a full review soonish, once I've had the chance to really give it a whirl longer than a week and see if I can figure out a way around the issues I've been having.

Have you tried this primer? What primers would you recommend?

The Furry Friend Tag | All About My Main Man!

Hello lovelies! If there's anything you need to know about me, it's that I love my dog. I'm one of those crazy dog owners who put their dogs in costumes and think know their dog is the best dog to have ever walked the face of the Earth. So, this tag was one of the tags I've been most eager to do on this little blog, and I've finally gotten around to doing it!

What is your pet’s name? This little man is called Kaiser. I actually had his name picked out before I picked him out!
What kind of pet is it and what breed? He's a dog, and his breed is a German Shepherd.
How long have you had your pet friend? A little over 2 years.
How did you get your pet? That's actually an unusual story. I got my little man for my 20th birthday, way back in 2013! Of course, I don't advocate getting a pet on a whim as a gift, but we'd been discussing it for a while. I actually think my mum planned it because my Golden Retriever - goldie - was in very poor health, I'd had him a little over 12 years by this point, and I think she knew that having Kaiser around would make the house seem a bit less empty without him, and ease the blow of losing Goldie.
How old is your pet? He was 2 on the 2nd December last year.
What are some quirky things about your pet’s personality? Oh, my goodness! Kaiser has most certainly got his issues - he suffers a lot with separation anxiety and he's very reactive in public after getting bitten by another dog about a year ago - and one thing I want to make clear is that pets aren't always easy. They're hard work, especially if they have issues like my little man. Kaiser's issues are an ongoing battle, with a lot of time and effort from not only us but a trained behaviourist. I may or may not do a post on that one day, if you guys would be interested? But, it's not all doom and gloom! He's the softest thing, if I'm on the sofa not paying attention to him, he'll sit and watch me like in the photo above. Also, he loves getting dressed up! He was a bee this year, and also had a skeleton jumper for his walks.

Isn't he the cutest bee ever?!

What does your relationship with your pet mean to you? Oh, if you haven't guessed already, he's one of the most important things in my life. I always joke with people that he's more important than most of the humans in my life, but it's true. I feel like until you've had a pet you don't understand that bond, but he's my world.
What are some of your favorite past times with your pet? I love just playing with him. His favourite are games of tug, but he likes to chase after things too. Our favourite game is hide & seek! I love training him, too. He's an absolute pleasure to train, he picks things up quickly. I like training him the useless tricks, like balancing food on his nose or paw, and things like that.
Balancing half a gravy bone on his nose!

What are the nicknames that you call your pet? Kaiser is a bit of a clumsy nightmare, really. So, in this house he gets called Wreck It, like Wreck It Ralph. He doesn't do things deliberately, but sometimes things just happen and suddenly he's surrounded by a mess!

Have you guys got pets? Have you done this tag? I'd love to read your versions if you have!

Sofia Karlberg - Take Me To Church | The Midweek Cover

Hello lovelies! It's that time of the week again, where I share my favourite cover of the week. This week, I've got a cover of the amazing Take Me To Church by Hozier, which is a perfect song already.

Sophia's voice gives this already beautiful song such a new vibe, I can't stop listening to her and having serious hair envy! I absolutely recommend giving her channel a look and listening to her other covers, especially her cover of the 50 Shades Of Grey version of Beyonce's Crazy in Love. You can also follow Sophia on Spotify

Have you found any great covers of songs you can't stop listening to? Have you listened to any of Sophia's covers before?

Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation | First Impressions

Hello lovelies! I recently featured a Superdrug haul, and promised I'd do a first impressions for each product. Well, today is the first impressions for the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude

This has had a lot of blogger and vlogger hype recently, so I absolutely had to pick it up as soon as I could. If you follow me on any kind of social media or have just had a quick glance at this blog before, you'll have heard me moan on constantly mention once or twice that I've been having a bit of a foundation nightmare recently. Even foundations I've been in love with for years just haven't been working with my skin, so I've been in quite the dilemma!

First things first, the texture of this is absolutely the strangest thing I've experienced; in a good way! It's a fairly full coverage foundation but it doesn't feel like you're applying anything at all. I'm used to full coverage foundations being quite heavy and oftentimes even cakey, but this is the total opposite. It's literally like you're applying water to your face. I picked this up in Ivory 10, which was very slightly too dark for me, but nothing that couldn't be worked with.

Next, as I've briefly mentioned above, the coverage is fairly full coverage. For me, at least, it sat on the line between medium and full, but was easily buildable in areas that I found weren't quite covered the way I'd have liked.

In term of longevity, I actually got a lot of wear out of this before I noticed it wearing off. It wore off evenly, not in patches around my cheeks like most foundations have been tending to for me lately.

As much as I loved the L'Oreal Infallible Matte foundation, I think this may well be my new favourite! I will of course be doing a full review once I've used this more, and had the chance to test it in different situations. But, as first impressions go, this has been a pretty damn good one!

Have you tried this foundation? What foundations have you been loving lately?

Alexi Blue - Uptown Funk | Music Raves

Hello lovelies! I've been in love with miss Alexi Blue for a little while now, but I honestly can't get over this cover of Uptown Funk. As soon as I heard it, I knew I absolutely had to share it with you guys. It can't wait until the Midweek Cover. It has to be now. Fair warning, this is probably the best Uptown Funk cover you'll ever hear.

Alexi has got such an infectious, fun vibe you just can't help but smile and sing along. You can tell she's genuinely got such a passion for her music, she enjoys performing as much as we enjoy listening which is a lot. Her vocals are faultless, I honestly cannot find one bad thing to say about her. Definitely worth a listen.

Weekly Music Favourites | What's Been On Repeat?

Hello lovelies! Yet another weekly music favourites post! I've been revisiting a lot of older music this week, so it may not be very new-release heavy. Then again, when is it ever, eh?

I Gave You All - Mumford & Sons. I feel like this has actually been a very Mumford & Sons heavy fortnight! After I became obsessed with Believe - which I mentioned in last weeks post - I've had their albums on repeat. They're just such easy listening, but I love the build in this song!

Half Broke Heart - Cam. This is such a feel-good song, I can't stop playing it! If you follow me on twitter, you may or may not have noticed me tweeting the lyrics to this earlier in the week. It's god a very country-pop feel to it, and I just love it.
Knock You Down - Keri Hilson, Kanye West & Ne-Yo. I feel like everyone loved this back in the day! I go through stages with this song, where it comes in my life and I'll constantly have it on repeat for a week or two, just enjoying reminiscing about my apparently long-lost youth (because I'm 22 going on 80, apparently!), then forget about it for another 6 months.

Lighthouse - G.R.L. I've actually been a fan of G.R.L.'s music for a very long time, Ugly Heart is definitely a song to listen to, but this is in memory of their former band mate Simone Battle who sadly passed away last September. The video is very moving, and the song is absolutely beautiful.

What songs have you had on repeat this week? Have you been loving any of the songs I've mentioned above?

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation | First Impressions

Hello lovelies! I've got a first impressions I've been absolutely dying to do for you guys; the l'Oreal Infallible Matte foundation

Excuse my weird bruise!

I mentioned this in my recent Superdrug haul, and promised I'd post first impressions of the foundations I purchased. and I had to post this one first. I didn't even look at this foundation when I passed it in stores because it's Matte, which never ends well with my dry, sensitive skin. However, I'd heard from a couple of friends and just on the rumour mill in general that it worked well with dry skin. So, in the name of research I decided to pick it up and try it out (this is why my skin hates me!).

I picked this up in the lightest shade I could find, Porcelain 10, which for once isn't too light for my face! I was very pleasantly surprised when I applied this and found it pretty much matched my skin. Result! It's somewhat hard to blend, and does take a bit more work than I'd ideally like, but it's nothing I can't work with. It claims to be full coverage, and I'd say that I'd agree; I've got a lot of redness around my cheeks and it was all covered up with a fairly small amount of product. As far as it's wear time, I've worn this for full days both times I've tried this, and I haven't had a problem with it wearing off yet. I've used this 2 days in a row now, and although I was petrified slightly worried I'd already have horrible dry patches everywhere - I haven't! It does have a matte finish, obviously, but it's nothing a sweep of highlighter can't fix! I will, of course, update you guys in a few weeks on how my skin gets on with a matte foundation, but for now I'm thrilled glad to announce I haven't noticed any of the normal things you'd expect from putting the two together!

Long story short: Great coverage, suits my pale skin, lasts a fair amount of time, and most importantly works well with my dry skin. Maybe approach with caution, but it might be worth a look for those of us who are pale, have dry skin and want a fuller coverage foundation. Although, I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a bit of oil control.

Have you tried any products you've been pleasantly (or not so pleasantly!) surprised by lately? Let me know in the comments below.

My Spotify Playlists | Daily Music Favourites?

Hello Lovelies! I've mentioned before (I'm sure!) that I love my little music posts on this blog. Music is the one thing you can guarantee I'm paying attention to 24/7, and I love sharing my passion for that. I love sharing what's been making me feel thing this week, and also hearing about what other people have been loving. That said, I thought I'd let you guys know about my Spotify playlist(s).

This is the playlist I'll be keeping most updating with just current loves, but of course I'll be adding and changing more public playlists as time goes on; guilty pleasures and all! I know this post is a little bit different, but I hope you guys don't mind!

Everyday Makeup | Spring 2015

Hello Hello lovelies! I can't be the only person who is nosey loves knowing what products people reach for day after day? Well, today I'm gonna share the things I slap lovingly apply to my face every day!

All links lead to the relevant product on Superdrug.

First things first, I'm sure we're all sick of hearing about how much I can't find a foundation I love. So, although I do wear a foundation on a whenever I wear makeup, I'm not wearing the same one every day because I'm testing a few new ones out right now. So, now that's out of the way, onto the good stuff! I've been a massive fan of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - although, Superdrug online only have it in dark, for some reason! - in Fair (£4.19, at Superdrug) for a while now, and I just don't feel right if I don't use it on a daily basis. It's a solid product that does exactly what you want it to do, and nothing you don't! Simple. Next, I've been reaching for this MUA Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette (£4, at Superdrug) everyday for a while. There's been enough posts on it being a Naked 2 dupe without me adding to the pile, but it's worth noting. The shade range is absolutely amazing, there's enough to go from a super-nude look to a deep, smokey eye with one little palette! For brows, I've been loving another MUA product the Brow Define Eyebrow Mascara which sadly isn't available any more, as far as I can tell.. My absolute favourite mascara is this Rimmel Scandaleyes Xtreme (£6.99, at Superdrug), it gives the most amazing volume without clumping at all. For contour & highlight, my trust Sleek Contour kit in Light (£6,49, at Superdrug), the contour powder is light enough for even my super pale skin, and it blends really well, and the highlighter is really natural with a lovely pale shade. Finally, for lips I've been loving this MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Criminal (£3, at Superdrug).

And, breathe!
I'd love to know what makeup you've been reaching for every day lately, let me now below!

AsiaLoveMusiq - Blank Space | Mid Week Cover

Hello lovelies! It is arguably my favourite day of the week today: mid week cover day! I think music might posts might be my favourite posts to do, I listen to music almost 24/7, and I love sharing the songs I've been loving, and hearing what's been important to other people. That said, let's move onto this weeks cover!

This week it's the lovely AsiaLoveMusiq with her cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space. I love Taylor Swift, I really do, but ohmygoodness this lovely lady brings such a new energy to this song. When I'm looking for the covers I'm going to post, I ask myself if I'd be willing to pay money for this version of the song, and I would most definitely part with my pennies to pay for this song maybe over Taylor's version! I honestly cannot rave enough!

100 Bloglovin' Followers | A Massive Thank You!

Hello Lovelies! I can't quite believe I'm about to write this post, in all honesty I'm in a little bit of shock!

A little over a week ago, I decided to start this little space on the internet to rant and rave about all the things I love and find interesting. Since then, over 100 of you guys have decided that you'd like to see more, and have decided to hit the little follow button. I didn't start this blog with any particular number of followers as a goal - partly because I couldn't imagine one person deciding it was worth a follow - but 100 in a matter of days is just a phenomenal amount! So, from the bottom of my heart I thank you!

Superdrug Haul | March 2015

Hello lovelies! We should all know my obsession love for Superdrug by now, and this past week I put in a cheeky little online order, using up some Beautycard points I'd saved up. I'll be doing first impressions and/or reviews for everything here in a few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for those, and if there's anything you'd like to see in particular, let me know and I'll try and get that up sooner!

All links go to the relevant product on the Superdrug website

The first thing I needed was a new primer, I've been in a very desperate situation with my skin and foundation, and this Express Hydration Primer from Nivea seemed like the perfect solution. Apparently it teams up as a moisturiser and a primer, and I've loved Nivea's products before so I thought I'd give it a shot! Next, I thought I'd try a new cleanser. Again, I've used Superdrug's skin products before and loved them, so I decided to give this Calming Cleanser a go. Onto foundations, I picked up 3: Maybeline's Dream Satin Liquid, Maybeline's Dream Flawless Nude, and L'Oreal's Infallible 24H Matte. I've used the Dream Satin Liquid before and it was my Holy Grail for a long time, so I picked it up in the hope that I could finally love a foundation again. I've heard great things about the Dream Flawless Nude, so obviously I couldn't pass that up on the chance to get it with Superdrug's buy 1 get 1 half price deal on Maybeline! Finally, the Infallible 24h Matte. I've got very dry skin and normally wouldn't touch a matte product with a 10 foot barge pole, however I've heard from a few friends that it actually works really well with dry skin, and doesn't dry it out further at all, which may not be ideal for it's target audience, but might work out great for me. I'll keep you updated on that situation, and the rest of the products!

Have you picked up any new products recently? Have you used any of the products I picked up and loved/hated them? Leave a comment below!

Weekly Music Loves | Mid March 2015

Hello lovelies! This week has been such a good music week, it's been a tough job to narrow it down to a manageable list! Alas, I've managed it. Without further ado, here are the songs I've had on repeat this week.

Believe - Mumford and Sons. I've been a massive fan of these guys for such a long time, and I think it's fair to say this is yet another great offering. It's one of those songs that builds, and you're just in your car or making dinner singing along as if you're auditioning for the X Factor! Absolutely brilliant, and if I had to recommend one song this week, this would be it.

Make it Holy - the Staves. I feel like every week I describe at least one song as beautiful. And, this is. It's an absolute joy to listen to, the vocals are so pretty, and it's just a really lovely song.

Meghan Trainor - Credit. If I'm being honest, this entire album should be in the list. But, if I absolutely had to choose a song from the album, I think this would be my favourite. It's just such a fun song, great for singing getting ready for a night out with your friends.

And, that's it! I hope you enjoyed it. Please let me know what songs you've been loving this week, I love finding new songs to blast in the shower!

My Beauty Addictions | Tag

Hello Lovelies! Today I've got a tag for you all. I love a good tag, I love reading how much everyone's answers can differ, but also reading people who agree with me and make me feel a bit less daft!

This image was made by the creator of the tag, the lovely Georgina. Don't forget to credit her if you use it!

The idea of this tag is fairly simple: write about 5 beauty addictions you have. I found this tag via the lovely Sarah. So, lets get into these beauty addictions, eh?!

  1. Lipsticks: Of all the collections I have, my lipstick stash is the biggest. I wouldn't even like to hazard a guess how many I own, but it's frighteningly large! And, mostly red. I have this obsession with red lipstick, and I just buy every single one I find, so at this stage I've got at least 3 of every shade, but what can you do?! (Probably just buy less lipsticks, but that's just not very fun, is it?)
  2. Hair Products: This is most definitely my next biggest stash. Although, unlike my lipstick stash, a lot of them are products I've got no intention of using. Much like my skin, my hair is very temperamental. It's typically dry and damaged, but it get greasy at the roots fairly easily if I don't use the right products, it gets weighed down so easily if I use a product that's too much, it's just.. it's a nightmare. Which means I'm constantly trying any and every product I can get my grubby little hands on, but actually like/use maybe 1% of them. Oops?
  3. Skincare: Like I mentioned above, and in previous posts, my skin is very picky. Again, it's typically very dry, but I'm prone to hormonal breakouts around my chin/mouth area which are only ever made worse by heavy creams. This, coupled with the fact it's very sensitive, and the slightest hint of a product not being compatible (literally all of them) I end up with massive, red, sore patches all over my skin, makes it impossible to find skincare that I can use. Which in turn means I end up constantly looking for new products I can love.
  4. Foundations: One of my biggest insecurities is my skin. I've had a lot of redness on my cheeks for a long time, and I'm really insecure about it. So, I'm always on the lookout for a good coverage foundation, but I'm naturally very pale as well, so getting a foundation that's the coverage I want but isn't too dark is an ongoing battle, but something I'm absolutely obsessed with.
  5. Eyeshadow Pallettes: Finally, an addiction that at this stage is out of hand. I've got so many eyeshadow palettes now that I must have every shade at least 5 times, but does that stop me obsessing over every gorgeous new release (I'm looking at you, Makeup Revolution!)? No. No, it does not. It's an obsession I've accepted I won't be letting go of anytime soon, and in all honesty that's fine by my (my bank balance might not be quite as accepting, though!).
What are you beauty addictions? I'd love to see your list. Everyone's tagged to do this, leave your link below and share the beauty addictions love!
Much Love, Maxine xo

Recent TV Loves | February + March 2015

Hello Lovelies! I've got a series I'm absolutely beyond excited to bring to you guys today: my recent TV loves. I absolutely adore TV, I would watch it all day, every day if I could. So, I thought I'd round up the shows I've been obsessing over recently - new and old - and bring them to you guys. This series will run about once a fortnight/once every 3 weeks, and I am so excited!

Pretty Little Liars.
Based around four friends and their 'Mean Girl' friend Alison, and what happens when Ali goes missing and ultimately turns up dead. I'm not alone in saying that I'm absolutely obsessed with this show. I started watching it after being introduced to it by Tumblr right after the first episode aired back in 2010, and I've been hooked ever since. My love for Ian Harding, who plays Ezra Fitz, only ever grows stronger every episode. However, so do the storylines. Just when you think you've got everything figured out, you're hit with another plot twist that just leaves you both on the edge of your seat and absolutely baffled and amazed at the same time. I really can't recommend this enough, but with the warning that the first few episodes/half a season are far weaker than the rest of the show. So, if you watch an episode or two and just think it isn't for you, just give it a little while longer. You'll thank yourself, I promise!

Grey's Anatomy.
I'm sure everyone's heard of Grey's Anatomy by now. We follow Dr. Meredith Grey and her fellow doctors' lives, as well as their patients' lives too. This is another show I've been a fan of for a very, very long time. I remember watching this when I was a lot younger, and it's been a show I turn to every week ever since. I've been hooked to the recent April and Jackson storyline (No spoilers, I promise) and I've probably cried more times over this show than all the other shows I watch combined.

The Undateables.
This is such a lovely show, following people who have a disability in their quest to find love. I have only very recently become a fan of this show, actually. I didn't watch it before the most recent series, but I was hooked from the first episode I watched, and I re-watched the older seasons on Netflix as soon as the new series ended.

So, these are the top 3 shows I've been absolutely loving the past month or so. Let me know in the comments what shows you've been watching recently, what you recommend and if you like (or hate) anything I've mentioned!
Much Love, Maxine xo

Mid Week Cover | Tyler Hilton - Don't Tell All Your Friends About Me.

Hellow lovelies! One series I absoutely had to bring back into this new phase of blogging was the midweek cover. I love music, and I love the way artists can take already established songs and make them their own.

This week, one of my absolute favourite artists of all time Tyler Hilton, covering Blake Mills' Don't Tell Our Friends About Me. The original is fantastic, but I have such a soft spot for Mr. Hilton, and he can only ever make a song better! Definitely one to add to the 'favourites' list!

Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs | Recipe

Hello lovelies! Today I've got a recipe I've been so excited to share with you guys. I adapted this from Lucy Mecklenburgh's Be Body Beautiful, just by playing with the recipe and finding what I liked best. They're also just as delicious without the mozzarella!  I love cooking food from scratch, and in an effort to eat clean(er!) I've been really turning to home-made food, and this book has been an absolute Godsend! This is real comfort food, but with the added bonus of being healthy!

As you can see, I served these with a baked sweet potato and a salad, but they're super versatile and you can really put with with pretty much anything!

Recipe:
200g mince
1 tbsp chopped chives
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh mint leaves, chopped
Pinch of salt
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp coconut oil
60g of mozzarella, chopped into 8 equal pieces. (If using)

Method:
Preheat the oven to 200C/gas 8. Add all of the ingredients except the mozzarella to a bowl, and mix together. Form the mixture into balls (I found about 2 teaspoons of the mix made the size I wanted), push 1 piece of mozzarella into the centre of the ball and close the ball around it. Place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper, and bake for about 10-15 minutes.

And, there you have it! It's as simple as that. You can add or takeaway whatever you like to suit your tastes, just like I did. Plus, any leftovers can be frozen for a later date!

What foods have you been loving lately?
Much Love, Maxine xo
